Some people need to be more OPEN MINDED about certain issues

Hi y`all, I know I haven`t blogged for a while, I`ve been a bit busy with exam revision and stuff, technically I am still busy with exam stuff  but I am sure one blog post won`t disrupt my learning (that much).

Anyway on to more important stuff; I wanted to start a debate society on college n you know I`ve introduced the idea to the student union team and they were abit skeptical  but in the end they went with it. However I had to get people to support the idea, n I had to get teachers on my side; easy enough! People asked question on what sort of stuff would be included in the debate (as expected) n I told them that it would be based morality,religion and ethics n the sort of questions we`d debate about would be "Do we need religion to create a moral society?", "Do some crimes deserve the death penalty?"."Are religions sexist?" and "Is animal testing ever justified?"

The reaction  I got with some of the questions specially "Are religions sexist" was :O "omg how can you ask such a questions, I hope you`re not thinking of including that in the debate" and some of them would just stay silent and nob their head but I knew they had some sort of objection (talk about being closed minded). I mean GET A FUCKING  GRIP PEOPLE!! its just a questions which has to be debated on. As for that question (are religions sexist), I can totally understand why people would yes to that question because most religions refer to god as HE and not only that but you can also argue that in most religions women are treated  inferior to men (I am sounding more like a feminist by the minute lol).


I just think people need to be more open minded about religion, no need to be so protective about it, I am sure we all have an opinion or two to say about it! Chillax a bit, Its not like I am whacking you over the head with a dead fish! Try being open minded and think for yourself, you`ll see things a lot clearer (as I have).
