If you look close enough you`ll notice (just as I did), religion NEVER gets to the core, its just behavior modification like a long list of chores! oh yeah its cool lets all dress up "modestly" on the outside maybe God will see that and grant our place in heaven! Question is who do you do it for God or just to please the people around you?
I know people who have been born and raised a Muslim (including my self) but what amazes me is why people get all protective when you as an innocent question like " What does Islam say about people who leave the religion?" By the way that's one question you`ll almost never find a proper answer to. I soon noticed that that`s one questions an Islamic Preacher hates being faced with. Most say the penalty is death, others say that matter is between the individual and God. Then I started to ask the question about free-will , Islam rightly states that every individual has free- will, going back to what the preachers said about the death penalty; I asked how can you have the free-will to choose if your going to be murdered for leaving the religion that believes in "free-will." It does n `t make any sense whats so ever!
I was generally just curious about the whole subject so I did a bit more research into it and I was baffled to find a conflict between the Qur`an and the Hadith which should n `t happened to be honest. Then I started to ask more questions about the Shariah Law (which in my opinion is pretty crap); the shariah Law clearly states (not that anyone , except from people in Saudi Arabia follow this) that women can`t travel to another country without her brother,Dad etc (Some close Male relative basically). Call me a feminist but I strongly disagree with that! why can`t females run freely just like males do without having to drag their dad or their brother to everywhere she goes (Talk about inequality) and please don`t even give that shit about how she needs someone to protect her, protect her against what exactly, was n`t she already exposed to the same dangers whilst she was at home travelling the city? Really I had no idea going to another country on your own meant that all the rapist or pedophiles though "Oh look she`s on her own without a male present, hey lets get her!" It does n `t make sense!
I still haven`t found answers to the above questions and my list isn`t exactly getting any smaller either; I`ve given up trying to find answers to some of the questions because the answer `s simple really, there is one but that does n `t mean I`ll give up answering the other questions I`ve got, I`ll just cross off the ones that I think I won`t find an honest answer to and continue with the rest.
Yes, this is what im talking about. I've been going through this my whole life. Asking questions is like a sin to these people. They retorted with 'curiosity kills the cat'... but what the hell, how am i supposed to learn if i dont get to ask questions?
ReplyDeleteregarding the 'law' that women can't travel abroad without a male companion, i think that is unsupported by any hadith or quranic verses because i remember learning that a woman can travel to perform the hajj if she's accompanied by a FEMALE friend/family member. So it doesnt have to be a man. So, i guess that contradicts each other.
The thing about islamic law is that, people just accept them without researching the source etc and they just simply nod their heads and shake their legs and sit. Sad.
:) i didnt know you were a muslim. :D glad to have you as my blog friend :D
Exactly that's what I don`t understand, how can u just accept something with out asking questions especially when it has such a massive impact in your life! As for the Shariah Law; I don`t agree with anything in there tbh it goes against everything my conscience tell me!
ReplyDeleteYep I am a Muslim. Glad to have u ask blog friend too :D
